Jeffrey A. Robinson, MD (President):
Jeffrey Robinson is Director of Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology at Children’s Nebraska in Omaha and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, completed pediatric residency training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and pursued fellowships in pediatric cardiology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and pediatric cardiac electrophysiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, presents nationally and internationally, and has received multiple awards for excellence in medical education and mentorship. Prior to medicine, Dr. Robinson graduated with highest honors from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. He is actively involved in Omaha’s arts community, serving on the Board of Directors for Opera Omaha and as Chair of the Omaha Symphony Governing Members.
Amanda Marshall, MD (Vice-President):
Dr. Amanda Marshall is a pediatric cardiac intensivist and Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She earned her medical degree from and went on to complete training and board certification in pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, and pediatric critical care. Since 2019, Dr. Marshall has served as a pediatric cardiac intensivist at Children’s Nebraska, where she also holds multiple leadership roles, including Director of Hospital Acquired Conditions in the Cardiac Care Unit and Director of Informatics for Pediatric Critical Care. She is actively involved in institutional and national committees focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical innovation. In addition to her clinical and academic contributions, Dr. Marshall is dedicated to mentorship, community engagement, and advancing pediatric cardiac care through education and quality initiatives.
Mark DeBrunner, MD (President Ex-Officio):
Mark DeBrunner, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a pediatric cardiologist at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where he serves as Director of Clinical Operations for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. He earned his medical degree from the Wright State University School of Medicine, completed pediatric residency training at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and pursued fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Riley Hospital for Children. He previously directed the Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Program and has been actively involved in clinical care, education, mentorship, and regional service throughout his career. Dr. DeBrunner’s professional interests include congenital heart disease, echocardiography, and fetal cardiology.
Andrew Rodenbarger (Treasurer):
Andrew Rodenbarger is an assistant professor of pediatric cardiology at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He completed his medical school at Indiana University School of Medicine before moving to Nationwide Children’s Hospital for residency and chief residency. He completed pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan. His clinical focus is primarily in echocardiography, including fetal and transesophageal echo. He has a particular interest in mentorship of both trainees and sonographers, having completed projects, presentations, and publications with mentees across a range of subjects, including a congenital heart disease curriculum for sonographers that was provided to learners throughout the state of Indiana.
Jonathan Johnson, MD (Secretary):
Dr. Johnson is a Professor of Pediatrics at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He attended medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine, and then completed both pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Johnson currently serves as the Chair of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Mayo Clinic, and was the Medical Director of the Pediatric Heart Transplant program at Mayo from 2012-2021. Dr Johnson is also the current Chair of the Section on Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His clinical interests include heart failure, transplant, mechanical circulatory support, and echocardiography.
